From 1851 to today: more than 160 years of success for Heraeus
The Heraeus company, headquartered in Germany, has existed for over 160 years and has been active in Italy for more than half a century. This was in fact celebrated on November 6th, 2009 in its 50th year of Heraeus presence in the italian market, the first among Heraeus subsidiaries beyond the German borders.
Trading of precious metals (used in various applications) has always been the core business of the company.
Heraeus covers the entire cycle of precious metal, from production and sales, to recycling.
To ensure continuous availability of products, Heraeus Metal Trade Division stipulated several contracts with major platinum manufacturers and some reputable gold and silver extractors.
Over the years, Heraeus expanded its high technology products portfolio, becoming a formidable leader on several markets like UV, Xenon lamps, infrared emitters, quartz glass, special materials for electronic, automotive and consumer industry, precious colours for glass and ceramics decoration.
